MAIN STREET DESIGN SURVEY
We have been working with consultants to redesign Main Street, which is an older road that is near the end of its designed life and needs to be reconstructed. An important part of the redesign is the streetscape, or design elements, such as: benches, street trees, lighting and more. The Village recently unveiled four design options for Main Street. These design options are available to review online at www.sehinc.com.
At the May 15 Committee of the Whole meeting; Village Board reviewed the options for the first time and have decided to remove the roundabouts as an option on Main Street.
Village Board will be reviewing the packet of public comments before making any additional decisions.
There will be many additional meetings both at a Village Board level and at a public information level as the project gets refined over the next year or so.
